O Christmas Tree

elvis.jpg
I have now been to two Christmas productions. Tonight was Callum's production of a Christmas rainbow. Callum was green and his class formed a Christmas tree and sung O Christmas Tree (O Tannenbaum) in German. For blue the elvis song blue christmas was sung. It amuses me that the other production I saw last week was the Elvish Impersonator with Elvis songs in too. Does Canada have a soft spot for Elvis?

Visiting Santa

Every mail has a Santa during December. We visited the Santa at Market mall today and like all the mails, came away with photos of the kids with Santa. Market mails were in electronic form while the one we visited at Midtown plaza we got a print. When we visited Midtown Plaza, I was chatting to the receptionist and then when Santa greeted my girl, it was with "I was wondering if you were coming to visit me, as I heard you have moved." My girl was relieved to know that Santa now knew where to come for Christmas day.

Snow Plough

Our roads are now white or gritted. We saw our first snow plough today. The only hiccup with the snow plough is after a while the amount of snow builds up and straight after the snow plough getting into the side roads is hard as the snow banks up over the hardly used junctions. But my kids thought it was fun as Mavis the car had to drive over the bank of snow.
