It's Raining, It's Pouring

I tried filling the dishwasher, so my darling daughter tried washing the bathroom and then the kitchen. I suddenly realised it was raining, on the inside of my kitchen window. I ran upstairs and found her playing with the sink. I picked up her cuddly Remy Ratatouille and threw the dripping toy into the bath saying he was too wet to play with. So she said "Sorry Remy", twice. I told her she could not see her particular friend today, and then she realised that she had been bad. Then later I showed her it raining in the kitchen to which I did get a second "Sorry Mummy".

Fish

Every week while my son does his Karate, my daughter and I wait outside the hall. Most weeks she fishes in a large puddle for sharks. His week she caught a two pink fish, three yellow fish and a pink shark. We then went to get some stamps for Daddy. The post office is in the parade of shops next to the hall / library at the back of a corner shop. So we queue up next to the freezers, which my daughter knows they contain frozen food. So she started a chant of catching frozen fish. I agreed if we had enough coins after getting Daddy's stamps. Which we did, so she carried, very proudly, ten fish fingers and four pound coins to the till at the front of the shop. She was marching right up to the front when I said "Stop, you must wait behind the gentleman." "Ok Mummy." and she stands at the end of the queue, waiting patiently for her turn. He person in front said "Wow me a gentleman" and then bought her a chocolate reindeer with a bell for being so good. She did say thank you for the rabbit!. I guess with those large brown eyes of hers this is the start of getting away with loads.

Leaves

It must be autumn now. The leaves have finally started collecting in piles. My youngest has found them and has enjoyed jumping and crunching them.

Water

My son seems keen at the moment to kill or drown things. I boy thing I guess, but when my daughter tried, she managed to make it sound cute.
"My water is beginning to drown."

Callum's Teeth

I have

been told by my daughter that this set of photos are better of her brother. My son would like it pointed out the first was so wobbly that it fell out with not much blood. The second the floor attacked him and it took year three a while to find it on the floor, it made up for the first on the blood front.

Snakes and Dragons

While getting ready to go out for the Justin Somper show, my daughter was in our bed handing out comments with Chris. I love the excuse to dress up, although with kids you don't always get much of a chance. On the side I had put some pieces out of Mother's jewellery box, and my old favourites out of mine. (Oh, Eda I have your spider). I was allowed the ear rings, rings, broaches and when I came to Mother's bangles there was uproar from my daughter. Mother's coral snake looks like a plastic bracelet she owns. She would not even let me borrow it, she is quite sure it is hers. Then she spotted the chocolate gold coins. So it was bought back for a couple of coins, until they were eated. So after some slight of hand by Chris it was hidden in the same bag as the wig, (good camouflage).

As I was out without kids and rucksack I fished out my leather jacket. This caused another unforeseen problem. The dragon on the back needed breakfast before I was allowed to go.

Teeth

While shopping today we picked up some vampire teeth for Callum. He tried them on when he got home from school and remarked that his own vampire teeth effort looked much better.

My little Vampire

In twenty

four hours Callum has gone from having two wobbly front teeth that want to occupy the middle of this top gum, to having a wide gap between his lateral incisor occupied by the beginnings of his adult central incisor. The effect looks like, he has two big teeth in the top jaw like a vampire especially when he smiles. Sorry the photos don't quite show the effect as by the end the two front teeth were really squashed into each other.
